Very early departure from Moshi (2am) to reach the mountain before dawn. Begin the steep ascent with expert Maasai guides. The climb is challenging, ascending nearly 1,500 meters in a single day. Reach the summit crater rim at sunrise and peer into the active crater. Observe the unique natrocarbonatite lava and enjoy panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Natron, and the surrounding plains. Descend carefully and return to Moshi in the evening.
