Welcome to Valour Africa Safaris & Treks. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and safari booking services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Booking & Payment
- A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the safari start date.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or mobile money. All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated.
- Prices are subject to change without notice until a deposit is received. Once confirmed, your quoted price is guaranteed.
- Additional costs such as visa fees, travel insurance, tips, and personal expenses are not included in the quoted price.
2. Cancellation Policy
- 60+ days before departure: Full refund minus $100 administration fee.
- 30-59 days before departure: 50% refund of the deposit.
- 15-29 days before departure: 25% refund of the deposit.
- Less than 15 days: No refund. The full deposit is forfeited.
- No-shows will be charged the full amount with no refund.
3. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all participants. Your insurance must cover:
- Emergency medical evacuation (including helicopter evacuation from remote areas)
- Trip cancellation and interruption
- Baggage loss and delay
- Personal liability
We recommend World Nomads or similar providers that cover adventure activities in East Africa.
4. Itinerary Changes
We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to weather conditions, road closures, park regulations, or other unforeseen circumstances. Alternative arrangements of equal or higher value will be provided when possible. No refund will be given for itinerary changes forced by circumstances beyond our control.
5. Health & Fitness Requirements
Participants must be in good physical health. For Kilimanjaro climbs, we recommend a medical check-up and fitness training at least 3 months before departure. Certain medical conditions may require clearance from a physician before participating.
Valour Africa Safaris is not liable for any medical emergencies that arise during the safari. Participants are responsible for their own health and safety.
6. Liability & Responsibility
- Valour Africa Safaris acts as an intermediary between clients and service providers (hotels, airlines, parks).
- We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the safari.
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest) may result in itinerary changes or cancellations without liability.
- Clients must follow all safety instructions provided by guides and park authorities.
7. Passport & Visa
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity) and any required visas for Tanzania. We can assist with visa-on-arrival or e-Visa applications but are not responsible for visa approval.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Arusha, Tanzania.
